Research & Development 

Innopharma Technology research and development activities are dedicated to developing PAT, sensor and advanced manufacturing platforms that provide greater process understanding and insight and enable the implementation of advanced manufacturing control to powder and solids processes.

Innopharma R&D activities consist of in-house development and partnerships with industrial partners and leading applied research institutions to identify and resolve a specific defined process-related needs using a clear and precise scientific approach. 

EU funding for Research & Innovation

Horizon 2020

Innopharma Technology received up to €1.61m in research & innovation funding from EU Horizon 2020. Funding will be used to develop and scale new product, offering Advanced Manufacturing Intelligence for crystallisation of API’s (Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients).

Horizon 2020 is the biggest ever EU Research and Innovation programme, with nearly €80 billion of funding available over 7 years (2014 to 2020). The fund was established to encourage breakthrough discoveries and world-firsts, taking great ideas from the lab to the market. Explore our SmartCrys project below.

Research Partners

Innopharma  is also an active member of, the Synthesis and Solid state Pharmaceutical Centre (SSPC) and the Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Technology Centre (PMTC) in Ireland.

Researchers from these centres collaborate with industry to identify critical research challenges. Their aim is to deliver relevant solutions that address the manufacturing needs of the industry partners. 

Innopharma is instrumental in supporting these research activities with existing analytical technologies and the ongoing development of further innovative solutions for the manufacturing industry’s problems.
